Prepare Your Kitten for a Lifetime of Good Behavior
Paula Garber of LIFELINE Cat Behavior Solutions will be teaching a series of three Kittengarten Classes to help kitten owners and kitten foster volunteers socialize and train kittens. Don’t own a kitten? No problem! If you own an adult cat or are thinking about adopting a kitten, come learn the training techniques and help socialize the kittens in class. Kittens will learn to:
- Love the cat carrier and car rides
- Enjoy handling and common veterinary procedures
- Feel confident and secure around other kittens, adult cats, cat-friendly dogs, and all types of people
- Faithfully use the litter box
- Sit, come, target, and walk on a harness
- Happily tolerate nail trimming and tooth brushing
- … and more!
The hour-long classes will be held on three consecutive Sundays in April. Individuals may register for one, two, or three classes. If you are registering with a kitten, it is highly recommended that you attend all three classes so you and your kitten get the most out of the experience. Kittens who attend both of the hands-on classes (Classes 2 and 3) will be awarded a diploma in recognition of their achievement!
