I rescued a gorgeous orange female cat, Apricot, who would attack any hand that came into view. Even the hand that was attempting to feed her! My intent had been to put Apricot up for adoption, but I knew adoption was out of the question until something could be done about this terrible habit. I turned to Paula Garber who came to observe my interactions with Apricot. Paula devised a detailed plan of action, which I followed to the letter. In a few short weeks, Apricot no longer attacked hands, became receptive to stroking and affection, and was adopted by a wonderful family. A year has since passed and, according to Apricot’s adopter, she is the perfect pet, and is very much loved.
